User Reviews : Why not just have a public burning of the original book? It would hurt less than this obvious cashing in and RAPING of the story... Marley and Me is not a kids movie story about talking animals, it is a heartfelt look at the importance people place on family pets, a testament to how dealing with the trials of dealing with a rambunctious animal can prepare you for the trials of the rest of life. Creating this sequel is the equivalent of dismembering a family member in front of their family. If you care at all about integrity and have any self respect, do not, I repeat, do NOT give these people money, it will only validate the destruction and rape of decent stories in future...
